The calculator below uses Ohm’s Law to determine the voltage, current, or resistance through a conductive path in a circuit.

Ohm’s Law states that the voltage (abbreviated ‘V’) between two points is equal to the electric current (abbreviated ‘I’) times the resistance (abbreviated ‘R’) between the two points:

Voltage (in volts) = Current (in amps) x Resistance (in ohms)

V = IR
