Exciting Job Opportunity: Senior Electronic Engineer Position in Edinburgh

Are you an experienced electronic engineer looking for an exciting new opportunity? A six-month contract for a Senior Electronic Engineer position has just opened up near Edinburgh. If you have a passion for electronics, computers, and programming languages, this might be the perfect role for you!

The company is seeking a Senior Electronic Engineer to join their team for at least six months. The design phase of their project is largely completed, and they are now focusing on completing the development and preparing their PCB designs for manufacturing. The designs are intricate, featuring 18 layers and a combination of analogue and digital electronics. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your skills in an exciting and challenging environment.

The position will be mainly based at their office near Edinburgh. However, they do offer hybrid working. When the work permits, the engineer can work remotely. This is expected to be around 25% of the time, offering a good degree of flexibility and work-life balance.

The successful candidate should be an experienced engineer with a proven track record in design and testing. They should have demonstrated experience in bringing designs to manufacturing. This role is perfect for someone who has a deep knowledge of electronics, programming languages, and coding.

Key Skills Required:

– A minimum of 10 years of experience as an Electronic Engineer.
– Proficiency in electronics design and testing.
– Experience with schematic capture.
– Full product lifecycle experience.
– Ability to create comprehensive design documentation.

This position offers a rate of £55 per hour and falls outside of the IR35 regulations. The start date is as soon as possible, so if you’re ready to take on a new challenge, don’t delay!
